Wheat Ride 2020 Announces 2008-2009 Home Investment Loan Program
June 27, 2008 - Wheat Ridge 2020 is pleased to announce new funding for our low-interest loan program to spur improvements to owner-occupied homes. 

The Home Investment Program offers loans for improvements supported by the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy.  Eligible properties must be in the program's current service area of all properties in the City of Wheat Ridge between Sheridan and Wadsworth with most funds targeted for the priority area of 32nd to 44th Avenues and Sheridan to Pierce within the City of Wheat Ridge.  The loans will be for up to 80% of the cost of home renovations with loan amounts between $5,000 and $20,000.  The loans offered will have 4% interest; they are up to 10-year notes with a 20-year amortization schedule. 

Eligible project costs include exterior facade improvements, landscaping, interior renovations, energy improvements, and structural, mechanical & electrical repairs.  All projects must include exterior improvements visible from the street.

Funding cycles are scheduled for July 1 and January 1.

Letter to Applicants

July 1, 2008 - The Home Investment Loan Program will have its next round of funding and accept applications beginning on July 1.  Complete applications will be processed in the order received until funds are completely committed.  This is a popular program and funds are limited.  Inquiries for this program should be directed to Britta Fisher at 720-259-1030.
