Join a Committee

Wheat Ridge 2020 relies on committees to give input to initiatives and programs and to help evaluate success. In order to join a committee you need to be a member of WR2020. Then talk to the committee chair about their committee to see if you might be a good fit and if there are any current openings. The chair information and committee meeting times are below.

Finance
Chair: Dick Matthews
Meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month
3:30-5:00pm at WR2020 Office
 
This committee is charged with securing financial resources, giving input to the budget, and advising on financial programs.

Nominations
Chair: Carol Salzmann
Meetings as needed, members appointed.
 
This committee ensures the WR2020 nomination procedures are followed and prepares the candidate slate of voting members, board members and nominating committee members for the WR2020 annual elections.

Operations & Administration

This committee gives input to the bylaws and organizational policy as needed.

Planning

Meetings every 4th Wednesday
11:30am- 1pm at WR2020 Office
 
This committee tracks city planning activities and attends events, helps plan the WR2020 Planning Academy and helps educate members and neighbors about planning issues.

Public Relations & Communications
Chair: Stacey Spaulding
Meetings every 2nd Thursday
5:30-7:00pm at various Wheat Ridge restaurants
 
This committee provides input on organizational messaging and communications and helps inform the community about the activities of WR2020.

This committee plans and supports major WR2020 events such as Wheat Ridge Wines and Dines.
Wines & Dines Team (Part of the Events Committee)

5:30-7:00pm at various Wheat Ridge restaurants

This team plans the annual Wheat Ridge Wines & Dines event showcasing Wheat Ridge restaurants, food vendors and beverage vendors.
