November 2008 Annual Meeting

The 2008 Annual Meeting was held on November 15, 9:00-10:30am, at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center. There were 50 members and staff present at the meeting and 80 members participated in voting through attendance or proxy.

The Board certified slate for the Board of Directors is as follows:

This slate for the Board of Directors was voted on and was passed by a vote of 74 in favor and 6 against.
Congratulations to all the newly elected and re-elected Board Members.

The staff made a presentation on WR2020's achievements and an annual meeting report was distributed.  Rob Osborn was honored and recognized as Wheat Ridge 2020's first executive director with a plaque and gift from the Board of Directors.

Surprised you got a ballot for the annual meeting?  At the July 2008 Member Meeting, the voting members amended the bylaws to create one class of membership, inclusive of general members and friends.  A formal membership program will begin in 2009 once approved by the Board.  In the interim, anyone who was a member or friend on our mailing list became eligible to vote at the 2008 Annual Meeting.  If you want to remain a member or do not wish to be a member, more information will be sent to clarify your desire with commencement of the 2009 member program.
